Time in CB

Last week I was in CB. Here are a few pics from my wonderful week there.

I was happy to be able to visit with Cynthia & Xander. He's getting so big!

I also enjoyed a girls night out. First Don Cherry's, then back to Cheryl's house where we had a small "shower" for Margaret.

Settlers with Pete: Part II

Pete came over again tonight for Settlers. We ate yummy food (as always) and tonight Jamin won. So that's one for Pete & one for Jamin. (Just so you guys know I do win sometimes...ie last night with Kevin & Sonya)

We all wore our comfy clothes tonight. Do you love comfy clothes? I'm all about them. Here we are lounging afterward. We let Jamin lie across us since he won. Sonya said he was like a hotdog and we were the bun. Hence the ketchup & mustard. Things got a little wild here tonight...

Siblings

Micah is now riding in the cart and Naomi likes having him sit by her. He loves to pull her hair and bug her. For some reason, she doesn't seem to mind (yet...).

Weekend away

Jamin & I went away for the weekend to the Valley....without the kids! Mom & Dad came up and stayed with Naomi & Micah.

We stayed at Victoria's Historic Inn. It was so nice! We also went to Le Caveau to eat. Yum!
We did some exploring and found all of these pumpkin men! We also went to Hall's Harbour.
It was so refreshing to get away! Thanks again, Mom & Dad!

Mitch

Last night I went to a Mitch McVicker concert. It was really good. He's playing tonight at CBU if you happen to be in that area.

Before the concert I went to Pete & Neenie place for some quality hang out time.

Peter made me this delicious salad. Impressive, huh? Here is my bro on the computer. He's probably trying to beat my tetris score. :)

Next on to the concert. All of the original MacDonalds were there, so we took the opportunity to get a photo.
After the concert we met Mitch & Matt.
I was also able to get my pic with the opening act, Eric Angus Whyte.
Good times!

We think Peter won...

Tonight we had Pete Tattrie over for supper. He brought us a delicious cake for Thanksgiving. He said he made it himself. It did remind me of something I would see at Sobeys though....

After some playtime with the kiddies (Naomi took a real liking to him!), we played a round of Settlers. There were a few mistakes made throughout the game that compromised the integrity of the playing, but in the end, Pete won!! Jamin handled the loss graciously. His winning streak is over.

The game. I think Jamin is praying Pete won't beat him :)Pete holding Micah.

Ah, that Micah...

Jamin & I are really noticing a big change in Micah lately. He's been crawling for almost 2 months now, but he has just started to pull up on things. He's also out of his infant seat now (it was getting sooo heavy!). He sits in a cart now while grocery shopping. He also cries when I leave and doesn't always want to go to "strangers". He's a happy little boy who loves to play, eat, sleep (yay!) & watch Naomi. We love him so much!

He's now starting to get into the cupboards.
This is how I found him sleeping today. He pulls up on the side, but obviously can't get himself back down. (Don't mind the pink blanket. That used to be Naomi's and is for home use only!)
Big boy sitting in a cart!

Baking with "Team Barrett"

I lead a small group with some teens from church once a week. It was our turn to bring snacks to youth group, so the girls came over the night before and baked up a storm! Check it out! Go Team Barrett!

Jamin always wins...

Last night, Dave & Lauri-Ann came over to play Settlers. It's always fun playing with new people. We managed to get in two games of Cities & Knights. Jamin won them both. He wins alot, that Jamin! Dave gets a special mention for his ability to build knights..wow! Thanks for coming over guys! Let's do it again!

If anyone else would like to try to beat Jamin, let us know!
