Visitors

Yesterday Tara & Aaron stopped by to see the new house & meet Naomi (and maybe to see us too!). In a close game of fooseball (sorry blue team) the girls took the victory!!We had other visitors later on that evening once it got dark. They wouldn't tell us their names and they didn't stay long. We're actually hoping they don't come back, but only time will tell.

The weddings...

When we were home we had the priviledge of attending both Leanne & Eric's wedding as well as Kent & Giselle's. Sadly, I forgot my camera (I was not happy!) for Leanne's wedding, so I don't have any pictures to show. I will tell you that the wedding was beautiful and the bride looked radiant. They seem so happy and I'm so happy for them. I especially enjoyed the music at their wedding.

I do have some pictures from Kent & Giselle's wedding which was also beautiful! Kent & Giselle both looked so nice and so in love. The supper was yummy and it was nice to see lots of familiar faces.

We're baaaahaack!

Well, we just got back (at 1:15am) this morning from our vacation in Cape Breton! We had a very relaxing time at my parents' cottage. It was so nice to see our family & friends while we were home.

On Sunday night Kelly had all of us at her place for a good-bye party. Kelly & Jonathan are gone to Edmonton. I'm going to miss them very much! Here are a couple of pics from the party:Here are some before & after pics from Jamin's most recent haircut he got while on vacation. Looking good, Jamin!
Mom & Dad got us an anniversary cake when we were home...mmmm..ice cream cake..I can't get enough of it!! We celebrated our 3 year anniversary on the 23rd. We went out for supper while Mom & Dad looked after Naomi.

Of course, Naomi was also on vacation this week. Here she is enjoying her time off!

Our new shed

Jamin has been talking about building a shed for a couple of months now, and on the weekend he got it started. Our old neighbours came by to help Jamin (thanks, guys!!!) and within in a few hours they had the frame built. The next day Jamin put on the shingles and our new neighbour stopped by to help (you've gotta love neighbours!).

Now Jamin just has to finish the door and put on the siding. Looks good, Jamin!

Friday night and we're doing Sudokus!

Because we have a baby, it's not as easy to get out as much, so many Friday nights we chill out at home. Tonight I thought I'd spice things up, so I'm printing off some Sudokus for Jamin & I to do! :) (I know...we're geeks...)

Have you heard of Sudoku? It seems it's all the range lately. I keep talking to people and somehow it comes up. I enjoy doing them. I have always loved puzzles and numbers. Here is an example. The rules are this: Fill all empty squares so that the numbers 1 to 9 appear once in each row, column and 3x3 box. Give it a try!

My three Kell(e)y's

I have received four phone calls so far today (well, five if you count that my mom called twice). I realized that three of these were from Kell(e)ys!

1) Kelly Hart
2) Kelly Sutherland
3) Kelley Myles

I love the Kell(e)ys in my life :)

Clan Gathering

Jamin, Naomi & I made a quick trip home to CB for the Clan Gathering that takes place every other summer. It's not often that we get all of the aunts, uncles, & cousins together, so this was a special weekend!

Three out of the seven cousins had a baby girl this past year. Emma (David & Denise's baby) was born in November and Jessica (Kathy & Hughie's baby) was born 6 days after Naomi. I got to meet both of these beautiful girls this weekend for the first time! The three girls got along great...I think the grandmothers had just as much fun! My Great-Aunt, June's daughter, Jennifer also had a baby girl (Eden)! Girls everywhere!!!

It was great to see everyone even if it was just a quick trip. We're so blessed to have such a wonderful family!

Sisters...

I'm so happy to have a sister. Mom always told us growing up how blessed we were to have each other. Now that we're older, I think we appreciate having a sister even more. Mary came up on the weekend to visit with us. We loved having her!

I'm on a ROLL!

Well, here I am blogging for the second time today. For those who have been requesting another video, here you go! Naomi has been continuing to roll over onto her tummy from her back. Yesterday she seemed to really get the hang of it! She's now rolling over all the time! This video is one of her earlier rolls...she's now much quicker, so I really have to keep my eyes on her!

The camera came back!!

I can't believe it! We got our camera back...and it's the strangest story!

So, the last time we had officially seen our camera was Tuesday, July 18th. We had been out in the yard taking pictures, etc. I believe I was probably the last person with the camera. Last I remembered I had placed it on the front step. I had run down to the bottom of the driveway to talk to neighbours and then came back up and in the house. Jamin was still outside. I figured he brought the camera in..he assumed I did.

More background info: The girl that lived in our house before us still gets mail here, so I usually give her a call and she or her boyfriend picks it up.

So, last night I'm sitting in our living room when I see a police officer pull in our driveway and come to the door. I recognize him as the girl's boyfriend who often picks up the mail. (I didn't know he was a police officer.) I give him the mail and then he proceeds to hand me our camera! I couldn't believe it!! Someone had turned it into the station. They had found it by the rec centre! Now my mind is racing...how in the world did it get to the rec centre!????!!!??!? Anyway, he had seen the pictures we had on it and in one it had our car and they zoomed in on the liscence plate and looked us up. However, it showed our old address still. He looked through the rest and recognized us and our house number that was in a pic! He said it actually came to him @ 3 in the morning how he knew us! Strange, huh!??!

So, here are our theories about how in the world the camera got to the rec centre (2 minutes from our house):

1) An animal picked it off the step and took it there...
2) I dropped it at the end of the driveway when I was talking to our neighbours and then someone picked it up and took it down to the rec centre and left it there
3) I left the camera on top of the car when I went to talk to the neighbours and then Jamin drove the car by the rec center the next morning on his way to work when the camera fell off the car

I'm actually leaning towards #3. (what do you think?) Not that I remember doing that, but it's possible. The camera was a bit banged up as if it had been dropped (or as if it had fallen off the car) and no pictures had been taken. Jamin managed to fix the camera so it works just like before!

So there you have it...the camera came back!
