The weekend

We had a fun, busy weekend! We had Eric & Mary, Justin, Nathan, Robin (Jamin's cousin), & Mitch stay at our place this weekend. They all came up to attend Jesus to the Nations. It was nice to see all of them.

On Saturday night, Mary stayed home with Naomi, so Jamin & I went to the concert at Jesus to the Nations. Thanks, Mary! It was great to go out! Here's a pic of us there.
On Sunday, we ran into Rick, Danielle & fam at church. Here we are with our matching families!
Later that day, Janine stopped over. Isn't this a nice pic of her!?
And finally, a couple of pics of the kiddies. We've been giving Micah a couple of bottles of pumped milk a week to make sure he takes a bottle. We weren't consistent enough with Naomi, so she didn't take one for long. I've been enjoying being able to get away now & then!
Naomi "reading" to Micah. They are sooo cute together.

Don't I know you from somewhere?

Does this ever happen to you? You are at the grocery store or some public place and you see a familiar face, but you can't remember how you know the face. For some reason I'm really good at remembering faces, but I can't always place them.

Last night while I was getting groceries, I saw a lady who I recognized. I could NOT remember how I knew her or even if I actually knew her. She could have just been a face I recognized from the bank or something. Anyway, I kept passing her in the isles and I would kind of look at her to see if she would smile at me, but she didn't. The whole time I was shopping I was going through all the places I go on a regular basis to see if they would trigger a memory. Nothing.

When I got home, it came to me. She was a mom and the library play group for 2-3 year olds. I could then picture her son, husband, & where she sat. I don't know why, but I was so happy to remember....that would have drove me crazy!

Easter weekend

Happy Easter! On Friday, Benjamin, Lee-Anne, Kyler, Bob & Elsie came over for a visit. Benjy, Lee-Anne & Kyler got to meet Micah. Naomi was super excited to see her Kyler! They are so cute together. It's so nice that these cousins are all close in age. Benj & Lee-Anne are expecting a baby in August, so that'll be the 5th grandchild for Bob & Elsie (3 of them born this year!).

Here are a few pics:

Grammie has her hands full!Bob-bob (as Naomi calls him) spending some quality nap time with Micah. I love how they are both facing the same way and have the hands the same way too!

Today we spent some time just hanging with our beautiful kiddies. We went for a drive and Micah was crying for a while. Naomi covered her ears and said "Micah noisy!" Here is Naomi today(with her "smile" for the camera) with her new outfit on from Jamin's parents. She loves holding Micah. He's usually a pretty good sport about it :)Micah & I at McDonald's. We were watching Naomi in the playland.
Happy Easter!

Micah's 4 week check-up

We had Micah's four week check up tonight. He's doing great! He now weighs 10 pounds, 10 ounces (77th percentile) and is 23.25 inches long (95th percentile) and his head is in the 70 percentile.

Micah continues to be a good little baby. He still feeds very frequently; usually every 2.5-3 hours. He typically goes to sleep sometime between 8-9 and feeds 2-3 times during the night. He's up between 6 and 6:30 each morning.

We are enjoying having Micah in our family. Naomi is doing great as a big sister. She loves to help us change him, burp him, & bathe him. She talks to him, reads to him, and showers him with kisses!

We also had Naomi weighed & measured since she is two years old now. She is 25 pounds and 35 inches. Our dr. said you double her height at two and subtract a couple of inches and it's a rough estimate of how tall they will be. That means Naomi will likely around 5 foot 8. Time will tell!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Naomi!

Hard to believe that Naomi is 2 today! We had a little party for her on Saturday with some of her friends. She was so excited for it! It was fun this year to watch her opening her gifts, blowing out her candles, & playing with her friends.

I haven't done any Naomi updates in a very long time, so here are a few:
-She usually sleeps through the night anywhere from 10-1.5 hours and naps usually about 1.5-2 hours
-She loves to talk!
-She weighs 25 pounds
-She has been in a big bed since the end of December and has yet to get out of it! She is extremely good (most of the time) to go to bed & nap.
-Some of her favorite things to do are: help me with whatever I'm doing, do puzzles, color, blow bubbles, read books, play with her kitchen, & play with her babies & stroller.

We are soooo thankful for our little girl! Happy Birthday, Naomi!

Visit with Jonny & Holly

Jonny & Holly came to meet Micah and hang out with us. We had a great time playing cards, games, & spending time with the kiddies. Naomi has turned a corner and really enjoyed playing with Jonny! She also really took a liking to Holly! She wanted Holly to do everything for her. So cute. Here's a picture of the flowers that Jonny bought for Holly & I to split. They smell so good! Also, this pic is for Mom. She gave us this to plant at Christmas time and it's grown really quickly! Have a good weekend!
