Christmas party for Naomi

Yesterday afternoon was Jamin's work's Christmas party for the children. I wasn't quite sure how Naomi would do since it was held exactly during nap time. She was just fine! She loved all the food, kids, & her present from Santa. She didn't really like Santa, but she still happy he had a present for her :)

Naomi loved the Christmas tree.

Small group Christmas party

We just got home from our small group Christmas party. Steven & Jillian hosted again this year and we had a great time! DELICIOUS food & GREAT friends! Congrats to Steven for winning "True Colors"...he beat me by a point! I'll get you next time :)Naomi was excited to go and see our friends. Looking cute in her Christmas dress.
The food. This was even before the dessert!

Tomorrow we are going to Jamin's work party for Naomi. We'll see what she thinks of Santa this year. She wasn't a fan last year!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

So, it's December 1st and I couldn't wait any longer to get our tree up, decorating done, & gingerbread house made! I love this time of year! It was especially fun today because Naomi is old enough to enjoy our rituals. She was really good at helping with the gingerbread house; she didn't even try to eat any of it (except the icing that Jamin gave her!). She loves the tree & the lights on it, & was a big help decorating!

Jamin cut our tree down from the backyard again this year. Personally, I think it is an improvement from last year's tree.We have a couple of Christmas parties this weekend, so stayed tuned for some pictures from those!

Merry Christmas a little early!

The good ol' hockey game....

The other day Jamin & I went to the Mooseheads game with Matt & Tamara. Thanks to Aunt Jane & Uncle Kevin for the tickets!

It was great to go on a double date while the girls were home with babysitters. Janine looked after Naomi and we are proud to announce that Janine changed her first diaper!! Way to go, Janine! Thanks so much :)

I should mention that the Mooseheads won!! Woot woot!

Shopping trip

Although Jamin & I aren't big shoppers, we decided to go on a shopping trip to the States. We had a great time. Lots of shopping, relaxing, & eating out!

On our way down we stopped by Mark & Roxanne's to meet baby Cole. What a cutie! Then we headed to Jonny's place where we stayed for the night.
Thanks, Jonny. Great to see you! Here's a picture of Jamin enjoying dessert at a restaurant in Sanford. Yum!While we were away, we also missed Naomi! We called home often to check in and see how she was doing :)

While Jamin & I were away, Mom & Dad were home with Naomi. They had a great time! Thanks soooo much Mom & Dad!

Pregnancy update

I had an dr's appointment on Thursday, the 15th. I was 27 weeks pregnant at the time. The baby's heartrate was 160 beats/minute (another high one!). I put on 10 pounds in 4 weeks (crazy, I know..), to put my total gain up to 31 pounds so far. I'm feeling great and enjoying feeling the baby moving lots! My next appointment will be with the dr. that will deliver the baby. Hard to believe that our due date is less than 3 months away! Time is flying!

Visitors & visits!

Where to begin? Last weekend (3 &4th), Mary & Eric were up for a visit. Naomi & I caught a ride back with them to Cape Breton and spent a week visiting with family there. Margaret was home too so we got to hang out lots as well. After the week, I came back to Halifax with Peter. Margaret stayed with us in Halifax for the long weekend and Rick, Danielle, Elliot, & Brock also stayed 2 nights.
